Our
Story

Like many modern love stories, ours began online. Although we first connected there, it would be another year before we finally went on our first date. Briana's first thought upon meeting Janko was, “Wow, he's tall,” while Janko knew right away that Briana was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen.

From there, things developed rather quickly. Our conversations grew deeper, and weekend visits between Charlottesville and Northern Virginia soon became longer stays, sometimes lasting weeks at a time. Without any grand realization or defining moment, we found ourselves wanting the same thing: to be together. Before long, what began as a connection had grown into something neither of us wanted to be without.

Over the years, we've built a life full of meaningful memories, from trips to Croatia and Chicago to visiting Belgrade to see where Janko's journey began. We've celebrated exciting milestones together, including supporting Janko throughout his coaching career and watching him help lead his team to the Sweet 16. Through every adventure and new chapter, we've continued to learn what it means to be partners in every sense of the word.

On June 19, 2026, during what we thought would simply be a beautiful Friday outing at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, Janko surprised Briana with a moment that would change everything. Just before the winery closed, he led her to a private spot, got down on one knee, and asked her to spend forever with him. It was the perfect ending to an ordinary day that became anything but ordinary.
